Terms of Service

These Terms govern your access to and use of the Onwu AI personal assistant (the "Service"), provided by Onwu AI, a trading name of AI-ENGAGE LTD, registered in England and Wales (registered office: 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Onwu AI is a personal AI assistant that answers questions and helps with writing and planning, working only from the text you provide. It does not connect to or access your other accounts, email or files. AI output can be incomplete or wrong - you are responsible for reviewing it before relying on it, and it is not professional (legal, medical, financial) advice.

2. Accounts

You must give accurate account information, keep your password secure, be 16 or older, and are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly of any unauthorised use.

3. Acceptable use

Your use of the Service must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Prohibited uses include illegal content, harassment, malware, attempts to breach security, and other misuse described there.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of what you type in and the outputs generated for you. You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the Service (e.g. transmitting your prompt to our AI provider to produce a response). Your content is not used to train AI models and is not sold (see the Privacy Policy).

5. Pricing, payment and refunds

The Free tier is provided at no cost. Paid use is pay-as-you-go: credit you add is drawn down at the published rate shown on our Pricing page and again at the point of payment before you are charged. Prices include applicable taxes where required. You may request a full refund of unused credit within 30 days under our Refund Policy.

6. Service availability and uptime

We target 99.5% monthly availability for the Service, excluding scheduled maintenance (which we aim to announce in advance) and events outside our reasonable control. If verified monthly availability falls below 99.5%, you may request a credit of 10% of that month's usage, or 20% if it falls below 98%, by contacting support@onwuai.co.uk within 30 days. This service credit is your exclusive remedy for downtime and does not limit your statutory rights or the Refund Policy.

7. Cancellation

You can stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. There is no subscription or lock-in. Closing your account removes your data as set out in the Privacy Policy.

8. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights). Subject to that, the Service is provided "as is", and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or GBP 100.

9. Your statutory rights

If you are a consumer, you have legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and related law. Nothing in these Terms affects those rights.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales, unless mandatory local consumer law provides otherwise.
